Saravanaa Bhavan

Tried Saravanaa Bhavan recently… and honestly, I had mixed feelings. The place itself is big, vibrant, and clearly popular. They’ve even got a full bar inside, which was surprising for a veg place. Service was okay too, no complaints there. But the menu? Way too much going on. Different menus, overlapping items, too many sections — it was honestly confusing. I ended up ordering something I didn’t even want because I just gave up trying to figure it out That said, the food I got wasn’t bad at all. Flavours were good and portions were decent. I might go back just to try their dosa (which I originally came for lol), but otherwise, not really in a hurry to return. Let’s see… never say never!

I was craving some south Indian food and happened to land up there during onam and I was so glad I did. Best South Indian food in Vancouver hands down. Priya and Amol were the most amazing hosts and added another dimension to the experience 10/10 recommend.

As a standalone experience, the buffet was good and reasonably priced. However, compared to other South Indian vegetarian restaurants in the Lower Mainland, I’ve had better meals in terms of flavor. That said, I would recommend trying the Kesari Bath – it was a standout item in the buffet.

The food was excellent – authentic flavors that reminded me of Chennai Saravana Bhavan. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, creating a perfect dining atmosphere. A special mention to our server, Mr. Anmol – his service was extraordinary and truly enhanced our experience. Hard to believe we were in Delta, BC – it felt like a trip back home. Highly recommend! Visited here with family after a long time and the visit was very good and recommendable. We ordered different kinds of dosas, Saravana special thali, idlis, mendu vada, pav bhaji, filter coffees, Gulab jamun, Ras Malai and rava kesari. All the dishes were very tasty. The service was also very good and fast. One of the best recommended Indian restaurants.

Just tried Saravanaa Bhavan today and I must say the food is absolutely delicious and perfectly spicy! Had the Saravanaa Special Meals Combo Thali – so many flavors on one plate, every bite was a treat. And the highlight – their Special Madras Filter Coffee … hands down the best I’ve had! Highly recommend this place.

We visited Sarvana Bhavan in Delta and enjoyed the lunch buffet with a variety of South Indian offerings. The spread was impressive, with a good selection of dishes to choose from. The dosa and poori were served hot and crisp right at our table, which was a nice touch. The service was top-notch, and we were particularly impressed with Anmol's positive attitude and attentive service. He's definitely a standout! Next time, we're thinking of trying their à la carte options or dosa combos to sample more of their specialties. If you're in Delta and craving South Indian food, Sarvana Bhavan is definitely worth a visit!

My partner and I came here for dinner. I've been several times before and I love the food and the service. I have no complaints! Today I ordered pau bhaji and a thali. My partner ordered a panner dosa and manchurian noodles. We both enjoyed our meals and look forward to coming here again!
